Styled Garden Party Shoot
When my girlfriend, and lifestyle blogger, Cortney Gough asked me to help style a shoot for her collaboration with Grace Rose Farm I was ecstatic! If you know me, you know I love flowers, styling, and all things pretty! I was even more excited when she told me her vision for the shoot was to create a romantic, old world tablescape with the roses as the centerpiece.
I went into creative planning mode right away, and my mind swirled with ideas! I knew that a vintage Indian wedding table from my shoppe would be the perfect starting point. I also included vintage wooden risers, vintage brass candlesticks and European breadboards from my shoppe. Cortney brought some of her vintage glassware. The vintage bentwood chairs were borrowed from a friend and suited the style of our shoot, and the table wonderfully!
We chose a gorgeous local garden as the setting for our "Garden Party" tablescape. It had us feeling as though we had been transported to a private European courtyard.
As we began building out the scene we couldn't believe our senses! The birds were chirping in the background, the muslin table cloth was gently blowing as it caught the breeze, the flicker of the candles, the aroma of the roses, the simplicity of the charcuterie, the treats and champagne -- it was all so perfect. It felt feminine, and fancy, yet unpretentious. It had turned out even more stunning than we could have imagined!
The heirloom rose bouquet from Grace Rose Farm was absolute perfection. I have never seen more incredible roses in my entire life! And their fragrance was other worldly.
We also loved collaborating with local sugar artist, Alison, from Grace Filled Baker. She provided us with some of her delicate and delicious French macrons for our shoot. Their lovely ivory color, flecked with gold was such a perfect compliment to the roses and our ultra femme table setting!
